We have created a Marpole Soccer Club team for the upcoming "Run Up for Down Syndrome” to support the Down Syndrome Research Foundation. We are excited about this opportunity to support this community and come together. 

Down Syndrome Research Foundation:
Our mission is to support people living with Down syndrome and their families with individualized and leading-edge educational programs, health services, information resources, and rich social connections so each person can flourish in their own right.

Event Details:

When: Sunday June 4^th, 2023
Time:
9:00am - Warm Up
9:30am - 5km run/walk start time

9:45am - 1.5km run/walk start time
10:45am - Awards Ceremony
Where: Swangard Stadium, 3883 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC
Details: receive “Run Up for Down Syndrome” T-shirt, KidZone, Scrumptious food, prizes, fun for all ages and abilities!

 

Ways to participate:

1. In person - attend the event on Sunday June 4^thand take part in the 1.5km or 5km run/walk and fundraise.
2. Virtual runner - take part in your own way from home and fundraise.

Fundraiser Prizes:
1. Free Fall/Winter season registration (Value: $500) x1

2. Free Spring Academy 2023 registration (Value: $180) x1
3. Marpole Soccer Club Prize Pack (Value: $100) x 3 prizes to give away 

 

Top three players/families with the top fundraise money will win the top prizes.

 

Please note that this is an opportunity and not mandatory, we want to bring our members together in a way to support the Down Syndrome community!
